01 Data stored locally

The extension stores crawl settings, the URLs you choose to crawl, page responses and metadata needed for the crawl and audit, sitemap decisions, and generated reports in your browser's local extension storage. This data remains on your device until you delete the stored sitemap or remove the extension.

The extension removes API credentials from exported backups and configuration presets. Credentials remain in local extension storage so optional integrations can run when you enable them.

02 Requests to websites you crawl

When you start a crawl, Sitemap Frog requests pages and resources from the site you selected. Cookies are omitted by default, so the crawl behaves as an anonymous visitor.

If you turn on Send cookies, requests use your browser cookies so you can crawl a site as a signed-in visitor. The site you crawl can therefore receive the same request information it would receive from your browser.

03 Optional third-party integrations

Both integrations are off by default and run only after you enable them and provide your own credential.

• PageSpeed Insights
  Sitemap Frog sends selected crawled URLs and your Google PageSpeed Insights API key to Google to retrieve performance results.
• Moz backlink metrics
  Sitemap Frog sends selected crawled URLs or domains and your Moz API credential to Moz to retrieve backlink metrics.

Google and Moz handle these requests under their own privacy policies. Sitemap Frog does not receive these requests through a publisher-controlled server.

04 Your choices

You control which sites to crawl, whether to send cookies, and whether to enable either optional integration. You can delete a stored sitemap from the manager at any time. You can also remove the extension to remove its local extension data.
